The Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum, Inc. acquires, records, and displays memorabilia and artifacts that relate to the social, economic, and cultural development of the city of Aberdeen.

Incorporated in 1991 as a non-profit organization, the Aberdeen Room is an historical and educational facility of the City of Aberdeen. Affiliated with the Harford County Historical Society and Aberdeen Appearance and Preservation Committee, the Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum was established by Charlotte Garretson Cronin in 1987.  The nucleus of the first displays came from the office of the late Senator J. Wilmer Cronin, Aberdeen lawyer, legislator, newspaper editor and publisher. The family concept was furthered as other families searched their attics, basements and desk drawers.

On display there are: an original 1852 plat of the town of Aberdeen, costumes of the early 20th century, old telephone books, canning devices, yearbooks and mementos from Aberdeen Elementary and Aberdeen High School, local church histories, 1918 and later Army pictures and brochures from Aberdeen Proving Ground, sports equipment - mostly baseball, artifacts and assorted paraphernalia from older Aberdeen business establishments, local newspapers dating from 1919, Indian relics, and many other materials related to the cultural and economic development of Aberdeen.
