Site of Squire Wilson's Home - Lincoln, New Mexico

- photos taken June 25, 2006, TMC.

South some 75 yards from this marker was the lone adobe house of J.B. Wilson, noted J.P. in Lincoln County War.  At night on March 17, 1879 he helped Governor Lew Wallace meet with Bill Bonney, leader of the remaining McSween men, and arranged a surrender under promise of protection.
